A posed shot of the family is nice. Smiles all around. No wrinkles in the clothes. No food on cheeks. It’s the expected photo you hired us for.
Five seconds later, everyone relaxes. Kids and dogs move. Laughter replaces smiles, but these smiles are different. Surprised smiles. Relaxed smiles. Real smiles.

Here’s how that philosophy translates into your session.
Outdoor Family and Pet Session
Our outdoor family sessions are built to capture both the portraits you expect and the real moments that happen in between — especially when kids and pets are part of the story.
This package is designed for families who want relaxed, natural images outdoors while still walking away with strong group portraits.
- Up to a 60-minute outdoor family photography session with any combination of you, your family members and your pets at a location of your choice in the St. Louis, Missouri or Northwest Arkansas areas. The emphasis is on capturing both group portraits and natural interaction.
- A typical session generates 1,000 or more images. We evaluate each one and select the strongest images for you to review in a private, online gallery.
- Final images are delivered in electronic formats of your choice.
- Session fee: $325. This includes pre-session planning and coordination, photography on location, professional evaluation and selection of your images, and delivery of final electronic files.

Meet Your St. Louis Pet photographer
Todd Gurley is a professional photographer who senses semi-retirement is around the corner and is screaming “noooooooooo” and running in the other direction.
Based in St. Louis, Missouri, but an Arkansan at heart, Todd has had a big boy camera in his hands since he was 14. His photography started with sports, evolved to landscape and then in the last 10 years has been mostly animals and birds in flight.
He lives with his partner in crime of 50 years Sheila and their 4 furry best friends which consist of two golden retrievers named Gracie and Ellie, one black lab named Norman, a rescue cat named Sally, two cameras, one classic car and numerous other hobbies he can’t find time for. And, he has this other business with his son Drew called Redbird Advisors that pays the bills.
Oh, and he now has this website which was first discussed 25 years ago. No wine before its time!
