Your family, exactly as it is today: The way your kids laugh. The way your dog leans into them. The way the session sometimes goes slightly off script — and suddenly becomes something better than planned.
Families aren’t built to smile on cue.
So we don’t ask them to.
That’s what our outdoor family photography is about.
Being outdoors changes how families and pets behave. Kids move differently. Dogs relax and explore. People stop thinking so hard about posing and start being, well… themselves.
We guide our sessions… no over-managing.
We let the session settle into its own rhythm.
And we stay ready for both the photographs you expect… and the ones you don’t.
Sometimes the best image of the day happens right after everyone stops trying quite so hard.
Whether your session includes pets or not, the goal is the same: photographs that feel like your family — movement, personality, unpredictability and all.

Why families choose us (especially those with pets)
Most family photographers tolerate pets.
We specialize in families who include them.
We’ve spent decades photographing animals — wildlife, birds, horses, and dogs — which means we understand how animals move, react, and focus.
That experience matters when kids and pets are together, because safety, timing, and calm energy make all the difference.
When a dog shifts, we don’t panic. When a child breaks pose, we wait for them to settle.
No correction needed. We don’t treat it like something went wrong.
Sometimes, the “mistake” becomes the best photograph.
We live for these moments.
What the experience feels like

We keep things simple.
We talk about your family and your pets… where you love to spend time, how your dog or other pet behaves, and what kind of photos feel most like you.
On photo day, we meet at a location that fits your family (and pet). Sessions last about 60 minutes, but we go at a pace that works for kids and pets.
Some families show up worried their dog won’t cooperate or their kids won’t sit still long enough. Honestly, that’s pretty normal.
There’s no rigid shot list from us. We guide the session, but we also leave room for movement, distractions, personality and the unexpected moments that happen when people and pets relax a little.
And, we will absolutely capture the classic image of everyone together.
But we won’t stop there.
Some of our favorite photographs happen in between the planned shots — when the dog suddenly leans into somebody, a kid starts laughing, or the whole thing briefly goes off script.
After the session, we review every photo and carefully edit the best ones. You’ll receive up to 10 finished images that are ready to share, print, and enjoy for years.
Bottom line: If you’re looking for stiff and controlled, there are studios built for that. If you want photographs that feel like your family — movement, personality, unpredictability and all — that’s what we do.
And we’re ready for it.
