Why Edwardsville families choose us
We don’t just take pet photos — we specialize in families who include their pets as part of their story.
With decades of experience photographing animals — from wildlife and birds to dogs and horses — we know how to work with movement, light, and emotion in real environments. That lets us keep sessions calm, safe, and enjoyable, even when kids and dogs are moving at the same time.
The result is photography that feels real and personal — not staged.

Top dog-friendly photo spots in Edwardsville, IL
Leon Corlew Park & Splash Pad. When the splash pad is off-season, this park becomes a peaceful place for portraits. We love the open fields, paved trails, and space. Ideal for leash-trained dogs who want room to move.
Watershed Nature Center. One of the most beautiful natural areas in town, with boardwalks and native prairie grasses. It’s great for dogs who enjoy a quiet walk, and the scenery is incredible year-round for photos.
Plum Street Trailhead (Madison County Trails). Edwardsville is known for its biking and walking trails. This trail offers a wide, tree-lined path that’s perfect for soft light and movement-based shots. Great for active dogs or early morning sessions.

Gracie’s Corner: There’s one of everything in Edwardsville
The Watershed is where I go to feel fancy. Boardwalks, tall grasses, and not a squirrel in sight (most days). It’s peaceful, smells like fall even in spring, and makes my coat look amazing in the light.
The trails are made for strutting. The Plum Street Trailhead is my runway. Wide enough for zoomies, calm enough for head-tilt moments, and smooth enough for my humans to keep up.
Joe Glik Park has perfect flop-and-rest grass. I give the grass a 10/10. After a lap around the pond, that’s where I stop, pose, and wait for someone to say, “Wow, she’s photogenic.”
What do you think of my uber-cool cowlick (see at top of my head)?
Gracie: There are many great photo locations in the metro east
I’ve been every where man! I’ve been every where.
I know that’s a song, but I thought it was cute here.
Here are the other cities in the metro east I like visiting: Belleville, Columbia, Glen Carbon, O’Fallon, and Shiloh.
And don’t forget to contact my daddy about photographing your furry friend(s). He’s real nice (he’s my daddy if I didn’t mention it)!.
Frequently Asked Questions-FAQs (Edwardsville, IL)
Do you only photograph in Edwardsville, IL?
No. We provide pet photography sessions throughout the metro east and St. Louis markets (Missouri and Illinois), and in St. Charles and its surrounding areas. We will to accommodate your preferred setting.
What if my dog can’t be off-leash during the session?
Safety for your best friend is our top priority. For example, it’s common for most public parks to require your beloved pets to be on-leash. Here’s great news: our sophisticated photo editing software can, in most cases, remove leashes and collars. Easy peasy.
Can we cross into Missouri for our session?
Sure—some clients prefer parks on the Missouri side. Just keep in mind we’ll need to plan for drive time and traffic if we’re crossing the river. We’ve done great sessions in both states.
Can we do the session at our home?
Yes. It is especially beneficial for dogs who are a little shy or do best in familiar surroundings.

Can we include family members in the shoot?
Of course. Be aware some photographers charge more to add family members and additional pets. See details of our Family and Pet Portrait Package.
What if my dog is shy or high energy around other dogs or people?
We understand that every dog has a unique temperament. We can find secluded spots to ensure a comfortable environment for your pet.
